Slough Borough Council : Arts Info
Arts Development, Slough Borough Council, supports and promotes the arts in Slough. Our focus is to work with those involved in the participatory arts to develop new and emerging arts activities and support the established arts community in Slough ensuring its development and sustainability. Arts Development offers information, advice and training to those involved in the arts in Slough. Work reflects the priorities of both Slough Borough Council and Arts Council England and is informed by the following objectives to:
� maximise opportunities for people in Slough to access the arts
� support the development of a sustainable arts community in Slough
� promote and raise the profile of arts in Slough on a local, regional and national level
� increase access to arts in public spaces and to extend involvement in the arts including working towards enhancing Slough�s image
� improve facilities for the arts

Our directory of professional artists is an online searchable directory provides information about artists that have experience of arts in education and community settings. We encourage artists and arts practitioners who live or work in Slough to register their details here.
Training Details:
The team offers specialist arts training to complement the advice and support provided. The training aims to support and strengthen the arts community in Slough and to increase the number of people involved in arts projects.
Community Arts Training in Slough (CATS)is a practical training course for setting up and running arts projects in the community. CATS is organised by Arts Development, Slough Borough Council in partnership with artist Christine Wilkinson. We are pleased to have celebrated our 10th anniversary in 2004.
