Tees Valley Arts
tees valley arts is a cultural education agency which focuses on integrating cultural activity in life-long learning. We work in formal and informal educational settings and develop projects that promote community empowerment. The elements that unite our work are the promotion of creative thinking, teaching and learning, using the creative process as a tool to develop socially-engaged arts projects that respond to local heritage and cultural context. We operate throughout the Tees Valley, encompassing all art forms and working with educational organisations and communities to add value to existing activities and develop new ones. We work in partnership with statutory and voluntary organisations, and communities to embed cultural activity in education and lifelong learning, and in neighbourhood renewal and regeneration initiatives.
